Abstract
|
|
|
The Hubakchilmulting is composed of seven drugs, including Magnoliae Cortex, Glycyrrhizae Radix, Rhei Rhizoma, Zizyphi Fructus, Ponciri Fructus, Cinnamomi Ramulus, Zingiberi Rhizoma. Although Hubackchilmultang has been traditionally used as a
treatment
of peritonitis and peptic ulcer, its pharmacological effects on gastrointestinal tracts are not clear.
@ES The results are summarized as follows:
@EN 1) In Shay rats, the increases of free acidity, total acidity, pepsin output and gastric juice secrietion were reduced by Hubakchilmultang. 2) Acidified ethanolinduced gastric lesion in rats was remarkably suppressed by Hubakchilmulting. 3)
Acetic
acid-induced chronic gastric ulcertationin rats was inhibited by Hubakchilmulting 4) Mepirizole-induced duodenal ulceration in rats was inhibited by Hubakchilmultang. 5) While the transport activity of small intestine was inhibited, the activity
of
large intestine was increased in the Hubakchilmultangtreated mice.
